During this first week of class, we learned a little bit about what we need to do in this class and what we need to know about our class outline and things like that. Creative computing is something that is well worth exploring. This is a very interesting question. A lot of times we come across creative computer stuff like programming art. In the first hour, the teacher introduced what practice is.In class, the teacher showed us a short clip of a video called Don’t hug me I’m Scared.

This video talks about some of the things we might have a fixed opinion about. But we can change it to a color or a shape to make it more interesting. Thinking out of the box is a critical step in creativity. There’s no need to stereotype your thinking.

Next, the teacher talked about a case called Machanical Turk, which is a machine that can automatically play chess with you. But the idea is that underneath this device is a master chess player operating the machine. So a lot of things are not what we see on the surface.

And then there are several examples like night lights, an interactive device, and drink up foundation.

In the second hour, we talked about some topics about the theme journey, and the teacher showed us a website about some scenery pictures. You can draw a line or a pattern on it. It will automatically generate a picture with matching lines and shapes. It’s a really cool effect（https://lines.chromeexperiments.com/）. I found it very interesting and tried it myself.

This week’s homework is also related to journey. We need to create a journey and document the interesting things that happen or things that we see and use non-traditional ways to present an expression of the journey.I drew a simple diagram of some of the places I would have to go to school and what kind of transportation I would take.

Then I photographed some characteristic shops or roads on my way to school for several days.

Summersize:This week’s learning is important for some of our later creations. We need to learn how to do research and collect a lot of data and information and then the next step is to summarize and generalize and sift through the information that you collect.
